Grant throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Monson feinted with a counter takedown.
Monson attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
A solid leg kick lands there for Monson.
Grant fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Monson throws a sloppy head kick and Grant moves out of range easily.
No joy there for Grant, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Monson has been working on his boxing with his coaches at . . . in the buildup to the fight.#TD#
Monson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.#ES2#
Grant has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Monson is on him like a limpet, forcing Grant back against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!#TD#
Monson pulls guard successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Monson is adopting a defensive guard.
Grant really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Monson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#T1##SUB#
Monson looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Grant is defending well. Monson quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Grant has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Monson celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Grant has taken the fight to the clinch.
Grant tries to stall but Tucker uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Grant tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Tucker just stands there and leans against the cage.
Tucker stalls.
Grant looking for a takedown.
Grant is trying to break free.
A right hook to the body lands for Tucker.
A body shot lands from Tucker.
Tucker lands an elbow that stopped Grant in his tracks for a moment. #CUT2#
It looks like Arnold Grant has been cut.
Tucker lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nice body punch from Tucker.
Tucker lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Tucker lands a left hand.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Grant jumps guard but Tucker turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Grant has Tucker pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Tucker manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Tucker pushes Grant back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Tucker lands a body punch.
Grant is breathing heavily.
Grant tries to pull guard but Tucker holds him up against the cage and eventually Grant drops back down to his feet.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Tucker.
Oh Grant is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Tucker has Grant pressed against the cage. He pushes Grant back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Tucker throws a beautiful elbow that sends Grant crashing to the floor! Tucker piles on the pressure with more strikes! Grant is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tom Tucker!
