Nice defenses there by Hill.
Hill closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Hill tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Omega manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Omega throws the kick towards the body but Hill avoids it.
Hill with the counter takedown but Omega avoids it easily.
Hill swinging wildly here.
A jab lands there for Hill.
Curtis Hill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hill rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Omega counters with a nice body shot.
Omega seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Hill throws a sloppy head kick and Omega moves out of range easily.

Hill fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Omega manages to avoid it.
A little feinted left hand from Omega on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Omega.
Hill listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Hill throws a lazy head kick
and Omega counters with a two punch combo.
Omega scores with a jab to the jaw.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Omega with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Omega takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Hill throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Omega cracks Hill with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Hill is still on wobbly legs! Can Omega finish him?
Omega throws a series of punches but Hill moves out of range.
Hill is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Omega lands a right hook to the body.
Omega connects with a stiff jab that staggers Hill - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!

Hill connects with a looping right hand.
Hill just misses with a punch to the body.
Kennedy half committed to a counter leg kick.
Hill throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Kennedy's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Hill dives in looking to finish as Kennedy flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Hill's strikes! Hill is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Kennedy's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Kennedy was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Curtis Hill!
Curtis Hill decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
