Le Paunche on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Ban tries to clinch but Le Paunche moves out of range.

It looks like Sorin Ban has been cut.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Le Paunche crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Ban - the referee stops the clock and Le Paunche gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Ban. Le Paunche manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.#KD2#
Le Paunche cracks Ban with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Ban looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Le Paunche finish him?

As Ban backs off Werdum throws a huge counter combo but Ban manages to avoid it all.

That was a close round but I would say that Sorin Ban will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Ban counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Ban leaves Werdum with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Ban throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Werdum.
Ban shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Werdum pinned against the cage. Werdum gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Werdum pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Ban taps out and this one is all over!

He's out cold! Barker gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
