and Riffe counters with a nice low kick that buckles Nazaryan's knee momentarily.
Riffe buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick. #CL2#
Riffe moves into the clinch successfully.
Nazaryan has Riffe pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Riffe manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Nazaryan is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Riffe pulls him back up using the underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sebouh Nazaryan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nazaryan drops down looking for an ankle pick but Riffe pulls his leg out and moves away.
Riffe scores with a one two! Nazaryan had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Nazaryan seems to have locked his on tight now - Riffe screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Nazaryan, as he picks up the win!

Zidane shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Riffe napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Riffe takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Riffe is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Zidane is trying to control the action in half guard but Riffe is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Zidane misses with a head shot. Riffe uses the momentum to regain guard.
Riffe tries to strike from the bottom.

Riffe is rocked!
Zidane arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Riffe's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Zarko Zidane!
During a confident post fight interview, Zarko Zidane thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.

Riffe throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Grant's waist but Grant gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Riffe off to one side.
Grant is looking to counter the offense by Riffe and move into the clinch.
Grant throws a sloppy head kick and Riffe moves out of range easily.
Riffe throws a hook to the side of Grant's head but Grant sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Grant blocks the body kick. #TD#

Riffe is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Grant connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Riffe some visible discomfort.
