The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sitsongrit shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Azz pinned against the cage. Azz gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Sitsongrit takes a swing at Azz's ribcage but misses.
Sitsongrit shoots in for a takedown but Azz shows good takedown defense.
Azz misses with a looping left.

We've been told by Azz's head coaches at Men Only. No Liberals ! that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Azz stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Azz looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Sitsongrit misses with a takedown
and Azz cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Azz keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Sitsongrit instigates a clinch.
Azz misses with a punch on the inside.

Azz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sitsongrit shoots for a double leg takedown but Azz sprawls well. He's pushed Sitsongrit's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
A nice side step and Azz releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Sitsongrit shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcinho Sitsongrit. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sitsongrit throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Azz's waist but Azz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sitsongrit off to one side.

After the fight, Marcinho Sitsongrit was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

Faustin's entrance music is Glukoza Schweine. A fine choice. Marcinho Sitsongrit told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

No joy there for Faustin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Faustin misses with a double jab.
A big right from Faustin misses.
Sitsongrit with the counter takedown but Faustin avoids it easily.

Sitsongrit darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Sitsongrit passes to full mount!

Faustin has left one of his arms exposed and Sitsongrit doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Faustin screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

A very excited looking Marcinho Sitsongrit rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
