Blesner throws a left and a right that both miss
and Shimazaki counters with a left to the body. #CL#
Blesner has closed the distance and engaged Shimazaki in a clinch. #TD#
Shimazaki is fighting off a takedown attempt but Blesner is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Shimazaki to the mat. Shimazaki regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.#SUB2#
Shimazaki is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Blesner defends well.#SUB2#
Shimazaki pushes a forearm under Blesner's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Blesner is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Charles tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Blesner manages to circle out of the way.#KD2#
Oooooh!!! Blesner has knocked Charles down with a huge combo! Blesner steps away and waves a wobbly Charles back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!#CUT2#
It looks like Lenny Charles has been cut.
Blesner looks to land a combination but Charles avoids it well. #CL2#
Blesner closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Charles prevents Blesner from breaking the clinch.
Charles tries for a takedown but Blesner manages to get underhooks.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!#BC2#
Blesner pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Blesner tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Charles counters with a one-two to the body.
Charles could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Charles uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Blesner.
Blesner tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Charles was well out of range. Poor timing from Blesner.
Blesner doesn't manage to clinch there - Charles circles away.
Blesner shoots for a takedown but Charles saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Charles is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Blesner.#TD#
Charles shoots in and gets a takedown into Blesner's guard.
Blesner is trying to control the position but Charles postures up. #T1##ES2#
Blesner manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Blesner throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped #CL#
and Charles counters by clinching up. #TD2#
Blesner tightens his grip and picks Charles up, before dumping him to the ground. Charles manages to land in guard.
Charles is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Blesner stays in close to Charles's body and controls the position. #SU2#
Charles is working an open guard so Blesner takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Blesner misses with a two punch combination.
Charles was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Blesner fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss. #KD2#
Blesner drops Charles with a beautiful combination! Charles stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Blesner is looking for the KO!#ROC2#
Charles is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Blesner ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Charles's jaw. Charles's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Blesner does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Rock Blesner!
