Piper steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Coco. That one must have hurt.
Coco lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Piper fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Coco manages to avoid it.
Piper misses with a two punch combination.
Piper is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Coco.
Piper with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Coco to score with a decent uppercut.
Piper throws a left and a right that both miss
and Coco counters with a lovely straight right hand!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Crunch! Coco slams his shin into Piper's torso.
Coco throws a combination. Piper tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Piper has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Piper gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Coco gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Piper is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

I would just about give that final round to Roddy Piper.
Well Piper has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Smirnoff changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Piper tries to avoid it but Smirnoff manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Piper to the ground. Piper escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

We've been hearing reports that Piper has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.#KD2#
