It seemed like Abdul Hannan was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Esh tries to close the distance and clinch up but Abdul Hannan swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Esh throws a right and a left that Abdul Hannan avoids nicely.
Esh shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

This one's going to be close! 3,4,5,6,7... Abdul Hannan is up to one knee.... 8,9.... He's up! The referee says he's good to go, so we're back to the action!

Esh throws a combination that misses
enabling Vucevic to counter with a crisp jab. #CUT#
It looks like Eric Esh has been cut.
Vucevic has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Talu's Boxing Club in the buildup to the fight.
Vucevic stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Esh catches Vucevic with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!#CUT2#
It looks like Vic Vucevic has been cut.
Esh throws an overhand right that has Vucevic reeling! Esh follows up with more punches and Vucevic is out cold! This one is all over!

Esh steps in with a hook that catches Ulpukka right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Esh follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Ulpukka looks absolutely devastated.

A pretty intense looking Eric Esh took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.

Esh fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Malone manages to avoid it.
Esh throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Malone.
Esh looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Malone could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Esh works Malone's body with a nice hook.
Malone takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Malone is breathing heavily.
Esh lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Malone falls backwards - clearly groggy! Esh dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

A determined Eric Esh didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!

Esh has Gilliam up against the cage in a clinch. #TD2#
Gilliam is fighting off a takedown attempt but Esh is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Gilliam to the mat. Gilliam regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Gilliam is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Esh dives into side control. #REVR#
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gilliam is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Gilliam is not content to let Esh control the position.
Gilliam gets back to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Esh connects with a couple of short punches.#SUB#
Gilliam has his foot on Esh's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Esh works his way back into a safe position though.

Gilliam is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Esh rolls with it to try and escape but Gilliam cranks on the arm and Esh is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Baird throws a hook but Esh avoids it easily.
Baird could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Esh cracks Baird with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Baird tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Esh pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Baird is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eric Esh!
Eric Esh got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
