Silva Jr flashes Schmidt a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Schmidt's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Schmidt crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Silva Jr punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!

Granger escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Silva Jr gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Granger changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Silva Jr tries to avoid it but Granger manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Silva Jr to the ground. Silva Jr escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Rich Silva Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Granger.

Granger feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Silva Jr is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz Jr does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Sedley tries to keep at a distance but Cruz Jr has taken the fight into the clinch.

Sedley content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Cruz Jr really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sedley. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Sedley has an Americana. Cruz Jr didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Sedley is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Sedley hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
