Wilson is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Destroyer looks calm but he's in trouble here. Wilson gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Destroyer is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Wilson lets go of the hold and Destroyer can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Merrill Wilson!
After winning the bout, Merrill Wilson thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
Noodles Destroyer was interviewed post fight and said 'Fk u, u got lucky'.

Clementine connects with a body shot.
Clementine slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
We've been told by Clementine's head coaches at Fit-Out that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Wilson gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Clementine.
Wilson drops his hands momentarily and Clementine takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Wilson tries to move into range but Clementine moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.#KD#

and Clementine rattles Wilson with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Wilson tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Clementine dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Wilson stiff and motionless on the mat!

Jazz Clementine was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.

Marshal keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Wilson shoots in looking for a takedown. Marshal tries to sprawl out of it but Wilson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Marshal manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. #TD#

Marshal wanted to stand there but Wilson had control of the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nice takedown defense from Zapata. No joy for Wilson on that attempt.
