Stein lands with a straight right. Max didn't see that one coming.
Max shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Stein as he avoids it easily.
Stein stuffs the takedown.
Stein looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Stein is pawing at Max, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Max's nose. Max is badly hurt! Stein pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Max tries desperately to hold on but Stein is relentless in his assault! As Max receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Stein away and this one is in the books!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Arnold Stein!

Max stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Stein.
Stein works the jab nicely.
Stein moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Stein feints and then cracks Max's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Max down. #TD#
Max drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Stein tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Max remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Max creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Stein sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stein can do anything to dispel that myth.
