Wilson shoots in for a takedown but Derrick shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Wilson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Wilson takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Wilson is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Derrick.
Wilson has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Derrick has cracked Wilson with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Derrick lands another huge swinging hook and Wilson tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Wilson, before Derrick can land any more shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Emil Derrick!
Emil Derrick really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Phantom Fightwear logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.

Wilson throws a right and a left that Kuzma avoids nicely. #CL#

Kuzma digs a right hand underneath Wilson's ribcage. Wilson let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Wilson is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Wilson gets a double leg takedown into Ewing's guard.
Wilson won't allow Ewing to get back to his feet.
Wilson throwing strikes from guard but Ewing blocks nicely.
Wilson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ewing swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Wilson with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Wilson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Ewing can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Wilson controls the pace.
Wilson advances to half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ryan Wilson decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

Wilson throws a chopping leg kick but Sheppard manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Wilson lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Sheppard has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Sheppard and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Wilson tries to clinch but Sheppard moves out of range.
Sheppard is looking to counter punch.
Sheppard checks the leg kick nicely there.
Sheppard uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Wilson.
Wilson misses with an uppercut
and Sheppard counters with a good, hard body kick but Wilson shrugs it off.

Sheppard throws a quick counter kick to the body but Wilson avoids it.#TD#

Wilson might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Sheppard haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Sheppard rolls with it to try and escape but Wilson cranks on the arm and Sheppard is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Wilson doesn't manage to clinch there - Sullivan circles away.
Wilson throws the kick towards the body but Sullivan avoids it.
Sullivan appears to be looking for a big counter.
Sullivan works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Sullivan smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Wilson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.#KD#
Sullivan cracks Wilson with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Sullivan has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Wilson to stand back up!#ROC#
