DeCastro throws a jab when Gerou was well out of range.
Gerou gets cracked there but stands up to it.
DeCastro slaps away a takedown attempt from Gerou, before circling back to the center of the mat.
DeCastro appears to be looking for a big counter.
Gerou connects with a body shot.
Gerou doesn't succeed with the takedown
and DeCastro counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
DeCastro throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Gerou shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
David DeCastro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dagu Gerou.

DeCastro misses with a hook. Gerou ducked under it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gerou shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as DeCastro sprawls well. DeCastro wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gerou gets slowly back to his feet.

Stroev fails in his attempt to clinch.
Gerou lands with a cross.
Stroev wants to clinch up but Gerou keeps it at a distance.
Stroev misses with a body shot.
Stroev dives in and grabs Gerou's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gerou pushes down on Stroev's head and hops out.
Stroev has a takedown stuffed.
Gerou with the counter takedown but Stroev avoids it easily.
Stroev wants to clinch.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Stroev is defended easily by Gerou.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Victor Stroev. That's going to take a lot out of him.
