Kid looks for a takedown but No Power sprawls well.
No Power stuffs the takedown.#TD#
No Power closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - No Power lands in his opponent's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kid is on top in guard.

No Power working for a triangle but Kid defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kid trying to control the position from guard on top but No Power is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

No Power working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kid doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kid manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
No Power on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if No Power tries to get out of the position.#SUB#

No Power has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Kid is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for No Power.#T2#

Kid wants to stand but No Power has his arm trapped.
No Power has one of Kid's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.
Kid trying to control the position but No Power is working away.
Kid works to advance to full mount. No Power defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Kid looking to ground and pound but No Power is blocking nicely.
No Power tries to control Kid's body but Kid pushes him off. No Power squirms to his side and now Kid has his back! #SUB2#
Kid is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. No Power has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Kid has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! No Power taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Kid doesn't care though - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Fireball Kid!
