We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Some wild striking there from Kain.
A little jabbing left from Hatta on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Hatta dodges the punch combination from Kain.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Hatta! But no joy.
Kain misses with the combination.
It seemed like Hatta was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Hatta connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Sam Kain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kain swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Hatta counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Kain throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Hatta rattles Kain with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Kain tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Hatta dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Kain stiff and motionless on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Tama Hatta!

Tension throws a lazy right hand but Kain sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Kain lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Kain drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Tension prevents a takedown attempt there.
Tension lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Kain or not.
Tension is working Kain over against the cage.
Tension lands a hook to the side of the head.
A bit of stalling here from Tension.

Kain really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
