Makana bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.#SUB#
Makana wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Alfonsi, who protects the arm well.
Makana tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. #SUB#
Makana is trying to get an arm triangle but Alfonsi is defending well.
Makana advances nicely into full mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Alfonsi can't escape the position.
Makana lands a big shot there that rocks Alfonsi but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Makana working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Alfonsi turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Makana off and cradles Alfonsi's limp body as Makana celebrates with his corner.
