Fitch throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Umali was covering up waiting for the punch and Fitch finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Umali is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Fitch dives into side control.

Umali avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Fitch.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Umali takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Fitch wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Umali, who protects the arm well.
Fitch misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

We've been hearing good reports from Fitch's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.#ES#
Fitch bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

and Umali counters with a huge left! Fitch is in big trouble! He's backing up but Umali isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Fitch from any more damage. A dominating finish by Umali!
