Mccormick looking for a guillotine here but Hadzic defends easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mccormick reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Mccormick taps out! Nice BJJ there by Hadzic!

Malaka lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering. #CUT2#
It looks like Arnulfo Mccormick has been cut.
Malaka throws a nice outside leg kick.
Malaka lands a nice looking kick to the body. Mccormick takes a step back to recover.
Mccormick drops his hands for a split second and Malaka immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Mccormick face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Malaka follows up with a right hand that knocks Mccormick into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Shaka Malaka!

Boy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mccormick.
Oh Mccormick is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Boy lands with a right and another and another! Mccormick is in big trouble! Boy lands again and this time it's lights out for Mccormick! A quality knockout there for Boy.

Mccormick has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Barros is on him like a limpet, forcing Mccormick back against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mccormick tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Kotze misses with a head shot.
Mccormick avoids a series of strikes thrown by Kotze.
Kotze tries to control but Mccormick wriggling away.
Mccormick working to try and regain half guard.
Kotze unloads with some shots from mount but Mccormick bucks and avoids them well.
Kotze takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.#T1#

Mccormick is desperately trying to improve his position but Kotze has a good base and remains in mount.#SUB2#

Kotze takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Kotze takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Kotze is trying to control. Mccormick wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Kotze thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mccormick's head.
Mccormick is not content to let Kotze control the position.

Kotze content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Mccormick has locked up a guillotine! Mccormick's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Kotze is holding on here and Mccormick must be using up a lot of energy. Kotze has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Mccormick gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
