Thorgard slips a straight right by Castellana.
Thorgard drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Castellana defends it well.
Thorgard checks a leg kick.

Thorgard manages to break the clinch.
Thorgard tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Castellana paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Castellana throws a lazy right hand but Thorgard sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Castellana misses with a jab, cross combination.
Thorgard's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Castellana connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Thorgard scrambles back to his feet.
Thorgard tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Castellana was well out of range. Poor timing from Thorgard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gianni Castellana seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
