Ryu is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Alvarado has his hands clasped together but Ryu extends and breaks Alvarado's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Ryu.

Alvarado clinches up with Myers and pushes him back against the cage.
Myers fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Myers with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.

Alvarado gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Alvarado looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Myers with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
