Howard throws a hook to the side of Gone's head but Gone sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Gone counters with a left to the body.

and Gone counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

and Gone counters with a thumping low kick.

Gone connects with an inside leg kick.
Gone connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Howard went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Howard is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Whittaker's half guard.

Howard shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Romero is trying to defend but Howard finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Howard can do anything to dispel that myth.

Howard really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Romero. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
