More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Destro from any more punishment! Destro complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Nui fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Destro has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Destro fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Nui manages to avoid it.
Destro shoots in looking for a takedown. Nui tries to sprawl out of it but Destro keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Nui manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Nice takedown defense from Nui. No joy for Destro on that attempt.

Penn fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Destro looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Penn feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Destros jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Penn throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Destro stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Oh Destro is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Destro ducks into an uppercut from Penn and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!

Dante Destro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Penn lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Destro can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Penn and Destro drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Penn.
