Patel is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Sakurai has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Patel is looking to defend but Sakurai has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Patel! Sakurai pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Patel taps out and this one is all over!

Patel looks for a takedown but Penn sprawls well.
Patel tries to move into range but Penn moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Penn is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Penn connects with a good right hand that stumbles Patel. Patel circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Patel is defended easily by Penn.

Penn batters Patel with a massive right followed by a huge left! Patel is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Penn lands a final crushing right hand to drop Patel to the mat with a gruesome thud! Penn is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!

After the fight, BJ Penn was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
