Nouveau changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Killer tries to avoid it but Nouveau manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Killer to the ground. Killer escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Killer thinks about the counter body kick.
Killer throws a head kick that half lands.
Killer misses with a few strikes there.
Nouveau went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Killer tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nouveau swats him away and circles back towards the center. #CL#
Nouveau closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Killer tries to circle away but Nouveau has him pinned against the cage.#TD2#
Killer decides to pull guard.
Nouveau with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Nouveau throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Killer looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nouveau advances position into side control!
Killer is working to avoid the ground and pound but Nouveau connects with a decent elbow.
Killer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nouveau. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Nouveau working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Nouveau looks up at the clock and then as Killer takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Nouveau smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Nouveau prevents Killer from escaping the position.
Killer takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Nouveau connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Killer some visible discomfort.

Nouveau definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Killer takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Killer is still in real trouble! Can Nouveau finish him?
Nouveau advances to full mount.
Nouveau loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Killer scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Nouveau land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Nouveau stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Theodore Nouveau!

Killer tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rautio paws at him with a jab and circles away.#TD#
Rautio gets caught flat footed, as Killer shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Rautio working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Killer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Rautio is tightening it up a little... Killer has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Killer reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Killer taps out! Nice BJJ there by Rautio!

A relieved looking Alvar Rautio thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
