Gracie comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Olha a Explosão kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Royce Gracie is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Gracie. ONeil does a little dance to reset his feet.
ONeil fails in his attempt to clinch.
Gracie tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
ONeil keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Gracie.
ONeil shoots in looking for a takedown. Gracie tries to sprawl out of it but ONeil keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gracie manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Gracie throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gracie misses with a looping right.
ONeil is looking to clinch but Gracie is avoiding it.

Gracie shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. ONeil is trying to defend but Gracie finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
ONeil is trying to escape back to his feet but Gracie uses the scramble to pass into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gracie swings around for an armbar but ONeil sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Gracie's guard.

Gracie is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and ONeil defends well.

Gracie looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but ONeil is defending well. Gracie quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! ONeil has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Gracie celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Jabonga goes for a double leg but ONeil avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as ONeil continues to drive forward.
ONeil shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Jabonga counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

and ONeil counters with a lovely straight right hand!

It looks like Asiong Jabonga has been cut.
ONeil shoots in looking for a takedown. Jabonga tries to sprawl out of it but ONeil keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jabonga manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Despite the aggression on Jabonga's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Jabonga misses with a takedown attempt - ONeil sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

and ONeil counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

ONeil drops down looking for an ankle pick but Jabonga pulls his leg out and moves away.
ONeil dives in and grabs Jabonga's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jabonga pushes down on ONeil's head and hops out.

Jabonga is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

ONeil manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
ONeil looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jabonga is one step ahead there.

ONeil tries to land a sweep but no joy.
ONeil utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
ONeil is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Jabonga displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from ONeil.

and ONeil counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

and ONeil holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

and ONeil counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Jabonga changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. ONeil tries to avoid it but Jabonga manages to keep hold of a leg and drag ONeil to the ground. ONeil escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

ONeil shoots in for a takedown but Jabonga shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jabonga is pressed up against the cage. ONeil has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jabonga down to the mat. Jabonga avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
