Halasa feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Halasa wants to control from the top but Kidd keeps moving.
Halasa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kidd swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Halasa pushes down on Kidd's leg and manages to get into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kidd tries to get to full guard but Halasa has control of the leg.
Kidd tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Halasa has advanced to mount. Uh oh. #SUB2#

Halasa throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Kidd because Halasa loaded up on that one.
Kidd really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill...#SUB2#
Halasa is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Kidd has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Halasa connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
You get the feeling that Kidd really doesn't like being in this position too much. #T2#
Halasa fails to advance to Kidd's back.
Kidd tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Kidd bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Kidd keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Halasa's head.
Halasa is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Kidd wants to get up but he can't break Halasa's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. #SUB2#
Halasa escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kidd gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Halasa wants to stand and escape but Kidd is having none of it. #T3##SUB2#
Kidd is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Halasa has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Kidd is looking to defend but Halasa has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Kidd! Halasa pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Kidd taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Daniel Halasa!

Halasa keeps the fight on the outside.
Halasa connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. #TD2#
Halasa manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Frost on his heels. He'll look to pass Frost's guard now, I'm sure.
Halasa wants to control from the top but Frost keeps moving.

Halasa thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Frost might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Frost looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Halasa has picked Frost up and slammed him! Frost can't keep hold of the triangle and Halasa manages to pass to side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A control attempt from Frost but he's now mounted!

Frost could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Halasa prevents Frost from getting the reversal.
Frost is working hard here to advance position.
Frost is trying to reverse the position but instead Halasa has taken his back - oops!#SUB2#
Halasa working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Frost is doing well to defend. Halasa seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Frost is forced to tap and this one is over!
