Box is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Box is trying to maintain the position but Malhoon is very close to passing his half guard.#SUB#
Malhoon is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Box has managed to free his arm - good work.
Box controlling the position well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Malhoon is trying to control. Box wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. #T1#

Box has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Malhoon can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Malhoon is fighting to break Box's control of his arms but Box is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Box is looking to stand up but Malhoon won't let him.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Box has eaten all the pies!
Malhoon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Malhoon is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Box would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. #REF3#
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Malhoon goes for a double leg but Box avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Box continues to drive forward.
Malhoon sets himself, and Box steps forward looking for the clinch! Malhoon avoids it this time.
Malhoon dives in and grabs Box's left leg, looking for a takedown. Box pushes down on Malhoon's head and hops out.
Box was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Horrible takedown attempt by Malhoon or perhaps it was just good defense by Box, which made it look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for TreCleatus Malhoon. That's going to take a lot out of him.#TD2#
