Vemola missing with a left hand there. Gusev was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Vemola misses the shot to the body.
Gusev is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Gusev has eaten all the pies!
Vemola stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Vemola wants it to stay on the feet.
Gusev throws a low kick, looking for Vemola's leg but Vemola calmly moves out of range.
Vemola is looking to counter punch.
Gusev changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Vemola tries to avoid it but Gusev manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Vemola to the ground. Vemola escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Vemola fails to land with a series of punches.
Gusev lands a head shot.
Vemola avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
It looked like Vemola wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Karlos Vemola has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maxim Gusev.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nice straight punches there by Hilo. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Hilo.
Vemola misses with a looping right.
Vemola gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Karlos Vemola seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hilo jabs Vemola right on the nose. Vemola blinks but takes it well.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Hilo, as that shot connected.
Hilo lands a slapping body shot.
Hilo throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Hilo changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Vemola throws a poor cross that misses #KD#
and Hilo counters with a crisp right hand that drops Vemola! Hilo lets Vemola back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Vemola takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Hilo throws an overhand right that drops Vemola like a sack of potatoes! Hilo dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

James shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Vemola pinned against the cage. Vemola gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. #TD#

James cracks Vemola with a big right hand but Vemola just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Daugherty fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Vemola on the side of the head.
Vemola swings widly with a right hand
and Daugherty connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Vemola throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Daugherty misses with an uppercut. Vemola saw that one coming.
Vemola connects with a good right hand that stumbles Daugherty. Daugherty circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Vemola with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Daugherty to score with a decent uppercut.
Daugherty bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Vemola throws a lazy uppercut
and Daugherty counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
We've been informed that Daugherty has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Vemola circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Daugherty. Vemola falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Daugherty!

John Daugherty gave a mention to Helsinki Xtreme Fightwear in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).

As Vemola tries to get set, Marsh tries to push him back and clinch up but Vemola manages to avoid the attempt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

A less than humble Karlos Vemola misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.

Foley appears to be looking for a big counter.

Vemola cracks Foley with an uppercut from hell and Foley crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Vemola's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing! #ROC2#
Foley is rocked!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Vemola loads up on a big left hand. Foley felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Vemola looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Foley can't hide his disappointment, as Vemola celebrates the victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Karlos Vemola!
After the fight, Karlos Vemola was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
