An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Hodkiewicz.
Jardine lands a left hand that snaps the head of Hodkiewicz backwards.
Hodkiewicz is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Jardine is defending well.
Jardine lands with a right to the head.
A short left from Jardine.
Hodkiewicz tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it. #TD2#
Jardine successfully pulls guard. #SUB2#
Jardine has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hodkiewicz can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jardine is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Hodkiewicz has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Jardine is looking to defend but Hodkiewicz has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Jardine! Hodkiewicz pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Jardine taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Weston Hodkiewicz!
A relieved looking Weston Hodkiewicz thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

Jardine throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Mein Armbach looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.#TD2#
Jardine looking to score a takedown here. Mein Armbach is defending well but Jardine drives through and ends up in Mein Armbach's guard.
Mein Armbach lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.#REVR#
Jardine is trying to control the position but Mein Armbach postures up.
Mein Armbach is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Mein Armbach is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Jardine rolls with it to try and escape but Mein Armbach cranks on the arm and Jardine is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
