Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jones, as that shot connected.
Weird fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Jones tries to bum rush Weird with a series of wild strikes but Weird uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Weird showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jones.

Weird lands a jab to Jones's midsection.
Jones scores with a jab to the jaw.
Weird tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jones defends well and Weird ends up having to push Jones into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Jones throws a series of punches but Weird avoids them all with ease.
Weird looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jones is fending him off so far but Weird persists. Nope, Jones circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Weird. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jones gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Growly to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Growly is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Growly cracks Jones with a solid left hand.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Growly connects with a nice short shot to Jones's temple.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Growly is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Jones goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Growly!
