Alex escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hill gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hill lands a couple of elbows.

Hill scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hill is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Hill must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Alex wants to land a leg kick but Guthrie is out of range.
And Guthrie counters with a quick kick to the body but Alex blocks it.

Alex is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Guthrie is tapping! Great win for Alex!

Alex should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Alex has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Stout is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Alex.

Stout reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Stout taps out! Nice BJJ there by Alex!

Hyde decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Alex, up you get!
