We've been hearing reports that Jones has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Jones dives in and grabs Matthews's left leg, looking for a takedown. Matthews pushes down on Jones's head and hops out.

Matthews cracks Jones with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

He tries to recover but Matthews pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Jones is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Poika throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jones tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.#TD#
Poika shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Jones manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
