#R1# Richardson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Khan displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Richardson. Khan throws a sloppy head kick and Richardson moves out of range easily. Khan on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Richardson slaps away a takedown attempt from Khan, before circling back to the center of the mat.#CL# Richardson clinches with his opponent.
Khan pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the ropes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#BC# Richardson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
#CL# Richardson instigates a clinch. Khan working hard to break the clinch. Khan wants to get back to striking at distance but Richardson won't allow it.
Khan jumps guard but Richardson turns him against the ropes and keeps the fight standing. #T1# Khan tries to stall but Richardson uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Khan seems frustrated at his inability to get double underhooks. Khan avoiding damage as Richardson throws knees to the body.
#BC# Richardson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Richardson fails to land with a series of punches.
Khan throws a series of punches but Richardson avoids them all with ease. Richardson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Khan as he avoids it easily. #TD2# Khan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Richardson's guard. Richardson trying to control the position.
#SUB# Richardson is looking for a triangle here but Khan uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
#T2# Richardson is looking for a sweep. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.#SUB2# Khan has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Richardson is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Khan yanks on the arm and Richardson is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Khan.
