After the fight, Horgen Stein was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

Tupp tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Cube swivels and escapes.
Cube scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Tupp doesn't seem bothered though.
Tupp looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

and Cube counters with a big head kick but Tupp shrugs it off. #CL2#

Cube wants to get back to striking at distance but Tupp won't allow it.

Cube looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Cube backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Tupp's temple! It sends Tupp violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Cube celebrates and the doctors try to help Tupp!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Ice Cube!
Ice Cube decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

Cube lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Waldrop tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
That kick from Cube tenderised Waldrop's leg. Waldrop is trying to keep his angry face on.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Waldrop crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Cube - the referee stops the clock and Waldrop gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Cube. Waldrop manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Waldrop has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Cube.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cube, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
