Gracie feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

and Cruise counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Taka Cruise seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cruise swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Gracie.
Gracie looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Cruise!

Gomez swats away the attempt to clinch by Gracie.
Good standup being displayed there by Gomez as he connects with a hook.
Gomez stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gomez wants it to stay on the feet.
Gracie swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Gracie tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Gomez manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Gracie is looking to cinch up a triangle. Gomez throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Gracie's body to avoid the submission. Gracie has instead reached around Gomez's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Gracie arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Gracie shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bush but Bush pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Scott throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Gracie blocks it with crossed arms.
Gracie drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
A left hand lands to the body for Scott.

Scott is pressed up against the cage. Gracie has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Scott down to the mat. Scott avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
