The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petty looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Petty closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Frezminko's guard.
Frezminko not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Petty is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Petty working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Petty wants to control from the top but Frezminko keeps moving.
Frezminko is looking for a triangle but Petty pushes his legs off easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Petty stands up over Frezminko, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Frezminko can do anything to dispel that myth.

Petty gets to his feet and stands over Frezminko, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Frezminko felt that one! Petty unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Frezminko from any more punishment!

Sonneborn goes for a double leg but Petty avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Petty continues to drive forward.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Petty loads up on a big left hand. Sonneborn felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Petty looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Sonneborn can't hide his disappointment, as Petty celebrates the victory.
