We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Jomoney has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Mane stuns Roberts with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Roberts walks into a jab.
Mane connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Roberts's hands.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roberts shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Izmaylov sprawls well. Izmaylov wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Roberts gets slowly back to his feet.
Izmaylov cracks Roberts with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Potemkin Izmaylov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Roberts has his takedown stuffed
and Izmaylov counters with a stiff right hand.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Roberts crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Izmaylov - the referee stops the clock and Roberts gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Izmaylov. Roberts manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

and Izmaylov makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Roberts really felt that one!
