Some bone on bone action there as Slugger checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Slugger looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Nagashima lands a leg kick that knocks Bastard off balance momentarily.
Bastard takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Bastard throws a series of strikes that have Nagashima backpedaling.
Nagashima bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A nice inside leg kick there by Nagashima. That's going to slow Bastard down.

Bastard looks to land a combination but Nagashima avoids it well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bastard stalks Nagashima and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Nagashima's face. Nagashima staggers backwards, shaken.
Nagashima throws an overhand right that lands on Bastard's shoulder, as Bastard tries to avoid the shot.

We've been told by Bastard's head coaches at Rabid Dog that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
