Sitthichai Fairtex seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fairtex throws a nice inside leg kick.
Fairtex misses with an uppercut. Trigger saw that one coming.
Trigger tries to counter by closing the distance.
Trigger has a takedown stuffed.

Fairtex is looking to counter with a shot to the body.

Trigger feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Fairtex controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Trigger looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Fairtex postures up in Trigger's guard and throws a big left but Trigger blocks it.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Trigger throws a head kick that misses.
Trigger shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fairtex pinned against the ropes. Fairtex gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Sitthichai Fairtex has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ricky Trigger.
Fairtex misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Trigger.
Fairtex avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Trigger throws a body kick that misses.

Mamedov scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Mamedov lands a jab to the nose.
Trigger tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Mamedov paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Mamedov works over Trigger's head and body with a nice combination.
Mamedov lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
No luck for Trigger with that takedown attempt.
Trigger has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Mamedov finds it's way round the side to connect with Trigger's head.
Trigger fails with the takedown.
Nice straight punches there by Mamedov. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Mamedov.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Trigger tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Mamedov defends well and Trigger ends up having to push Mamedov into the ropes where they will battle it out in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ricky Trigger. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Trigger looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mamedov is fending him off so far but Trigger persists. Nope, Mamedov circles away and we're back to standing.

Trigger throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mamedov throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Trigger takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
The crowd cheers as Mamedov lands an impressive looking overhand right. Trigger doesn't seem phased though.
Trigger fails to land with a series of punches.
Mamedov tests Trigger's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Trigger uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Mamedov.
Mamedov scores with a decent looking hook.
Mamedov cracks Trigger with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Mamedov looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Trigger takes one to the side of the head.
Mamedov might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Oh Trigger is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mamedov lands with a hook. Trigger tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Mamedov throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Trigger darts in looking for a takedown but Mamedov gets double underhooks and turns Trigger into the ropes. #T2#
BOOM! Mamedov lands a beautiful left hook that drops Trigger. Trigger tries to recover but Mamedov is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Trigger lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
