Long is trying to trip King. He has hold of a leg but King is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Long persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

He tries to recover but Long pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! King is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

and Gump makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Gump fakes high and swings low for a body shot but King manages to avoid it.
King thumps Gump with a low kick.

and Gump counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Gump controls from within his opponent's guard.
King knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gump on the ground.
Gump is working King over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gump controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Gump working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of King's head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

King will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gump has an Americana. King didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Gump is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Gump hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Nice defenses there by King.
King dodges the punch combination from Cone.
Cone swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
King keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab. #CUT#It looks like Tom Cone has been cut.

Let's hope that Cone has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - John screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
