The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steiner tries to sprawl but Hernandez drives through with a takedown into half guard. Steiner is not content to let Hernandez control the position. Steiner preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Steiner moves into full guard.
Hernandez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Steiner. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Steiner pulls Hernandez in close to his closed guard and prevents Hernandez from doing any damage or advancing position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hernandez preventing the sweep. Steiner really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. That's one minute gone in the round. Hernandez has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Steiner to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Hernandez is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Steiner pulls down on the head and he's put Hernandez to sleep! This one is all over!
