The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spankings shoots in looking for a takedown. Adebayo tries to sprawl out of it but Spankings keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Adebayo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Adebayo lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Adebayo fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Spankings, pushing him back against the cage. Spankings drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lotsa Spankings. That's going to take a lot out of him. Adebayo stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Adebayo has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Spankings is trying to keep an underhook but Adebayo manages to get the takedown into half guard. Adebayo trying to control the action but Spankings is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Spankings looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Adebayo is trying to improve position by moving to mount. Spankings has hold of his neck though and manages to move into guard! All of a sudden, Adebayo is in a lot of trouble! Spankings is straining to finish and he's done it! Adebayo taps out! Amazing!
