The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Al Jhit throws a hook but Balaev avoids it easily.
Al Jhit moves away from the strike by Balaev.
Balaev tries to clinch but Al Jhit moves out of range.
Al Jhit connects with a right hand. Balaev shakes it off.
Balaev throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Al Jhit! But no joy.
Al Jhit lands a body shot.
Balaev doesn't manage to clinch there - Al Jhit circles away.
Al Jhit throws a hook but Balaev blocks it.
Balaev connects with a nice looking jab. #TD2#
Al Jhit looking to score a takedown here. Balaev is defending well but Al Jhit drives through and ends up in Balaev's guard.
Al Jhit is standing up over Balaev. Balaev looks to escape but Al Jhit dives into side control. #REVR#
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Balaev wants to get back to his feet.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Al Jhit working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

It looks like Al Jhit might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.#SUB2#
Al Jhit has hold of Balaev's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Balaev seems comfortable defending it but Al Jhit has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Balaev is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Balaev is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Al Jhit couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Bazar Al Jhit!
Bazar Al Jhit spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.

A leg kick checked by Warner.
The fight stays on the outside here - Balaev looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Warner thows a left - swing and a miss!
Warner showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Balaev.
Warner throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Warner fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Balaev tries to clinch but Warner moves away
and Warner counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A slapping leg kick lands for Balaev.
Balaev tries to clinch but Warner moves away
and Warner counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Balaev swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Warner is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Balaev is looking to take this fight into the clinch.#T1#
Balaev throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Warner counters with a good, hard body kick but Balaev shrugs it off.
Balaev goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Balaev throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Warner counters with a good low kick that Balaev was not able to check.
Warner scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Warner swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Balaev throws a body kick, spinning off balance

Balaev drops his guard momentarily, allowing Warner to crack him with a picture perfect lead left hook! Boom! Down goes Balaev! Oh, he's in big trouble - I don't like his chances here as the referee's count reaches 5. 6,7,8,9...10! He's out! Warner takes it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Randy Warner!
Randy Warner decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Balaev gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Eljinsson to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Eljinsson is stalling in the full guard.
Eljinsson works over Balaev with some ground and pound from guard.
Balaev preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Eljinsson stays in close to Balaev's body and controls the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Eljinsson stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Balaev throws a front kick that sends Eljinsson stumbling back into the cage.
Balaev lands a nice looking kick to the body. Eljinsson takes a step back to recover.
Balaev pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Balaev is looking to clinch but Eljinsson is avoiding it.
Marat Balaev is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Balaev throws a quick inside leg kick.
Eljinsson closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Eljinsson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
A lull in the action here.
Balaev knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Eljinsson on the ground.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Balaev is pushing Eljinsson's head away, looking to escape. Eljinsson manages to hold on to the position though.
Eljinsson slows the pace down.
Eljinsson scoring with punches from side control.
Eljinsson passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Balaev!
Balaev takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Eljinsson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Eljinsson cracks Balaev with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Eljinsson has hold of Balaev's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Balaev manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Balaev is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Balaev is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Eljinsson is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Balaev has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Eljinsson jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Balaev manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Eljinsson lands a decent elbow from side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ragnar Eljinsson dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
