The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trechuk misses with a jab to the body
and Wittu connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Trechuk misses with a body punch
and Wittu counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Trechuk misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Wittu.
A little jabbing left from Wittu on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Trechuk has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Prosper Training in the buildup to the fight.
Wittu looks to land a right hand but Trechuk moved out of range.
Trechuk throws a sloppy body shot
enabling Wittu to counter with a crisp jab.
Trechuk misses with a left hand
enabling Wittu to counter with a crisp jab.
Trechuk walks straight into a right hand from Wittu - that's dropped him! Wittu jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Trechuk from any more punishment! Trechuk complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Witun Wittu!
Witun Wittu decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little. |

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Lindemann misses the target.
Trechuk uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lindemann.
An attempted straight right counter from Trechuk misses the target.
Lindemann takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Lindemann takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Trechuk seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
A jab from Lindemann misses.
Trechuk throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Trechuk sets himself, and Lindemann steps forward looking for the clinch! Trechuk avoids it this time.
Trechuk wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
BOOM! Trechuk lands a beautiful left hook that drops Lindemann. Lindemann tries to recover but Trechuk is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Lindemann lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Dude clinches up with Trechuk and pushes him back against the cage.
Dude wants to take the fight to the mat but Trechuk manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Trechuk gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Dude.
Trechuk fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Dude fails to pull the fight into his guard.
John Trechuk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of The Dude.
Dude is looking for a takedown.
Trechuk lands a right hand that snaps the head of Dude backwards. #BC#
Trechuk pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dude punishes Trechuk's body with a nice straight punch.
Trechuk changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Trechuk tries to clinch but Dude moves out of range.
Trechuk lands a jab to the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.#KD#
Trechuk cracks Dude with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Dude looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Trechuk finish him?

Trechuk lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Dude head around and knocks him out cold! Trechuk hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
