The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nurmagomedov misses with a takedown attempt
and Lord counters with a straight right hand.
Nurmagomedov closes the distance looking to clinch
and Lord counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Nurmagomedov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lord sprawls well. Lord wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Nurmagomedov gets slowly back to his feet.
Nurmagomedov misses the body punch
and Lord counters with a nice uppercut.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters circle momentarily. Lord darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Nurmagomedov seems to have recovered his senses.

Lord fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Nurmagomedov looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Lord fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Nurmagomedov on the side of the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
