Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
Khalidovic throws a leg kick
and Lama connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lama throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Khalidovic is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Lama.

A head kick misses from Khalidovic.
Lama fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Khalidovic looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Lama throws a hook but Khalidovic blocks it.

Khalidovic appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Khalidovic throws a sloppy head kick and Lama moves out of range easily.
Lama looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Lama works over Khalidovic's head and body with a nice combination.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Well Lama has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Lama tries for a takedown but Rai circles away easily
and Rai counters with a stiff right hand.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lama tries to close the distance and clinch but Rai swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Rai looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.#T1##CL2#
Rai has closed the distance and engaged Lama in a clinch.

Lama is working for takedown but Rai is calmly controlling the position for now.

Lama is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at SYDNEY ELITE GYM that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

Rai must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Rai seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. #T2#

Lama avoids a punch combination nicely.
Rai throws a low kick but Lama moves out of range easily.
Lama misses with the combination.
Lama connects with a right hand. Rai shakes it off.
Lama lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Lama moves into range and connects with a jab.
Rai takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Lama connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Rai momentarily.
Rai throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Lama lands with an uppercut that bounces Rai off the cage and back into range.
Rai gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Lama.
Rai misses the shot to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!#TD2#
Lama gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Rai stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lama swivels though and keeps the full guard. #REF3#
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Rai takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Lama moves away from the strike by Rai.
A telegraphed right hand from Rai misses the target.
Rai throws a lazy right hand but Lama sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Rai throws a hook to the side of Lama's head but Lama sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Rai takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Lama misses with a wild body shot.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ganju Lama showed his dominance in that final round.
