Sampson feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Wilber sprawling to the canvas! Wilber rolls over backwards and springs off the ropes and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Sampson finish him?!

Johnson's coach down at Hectors Hitters was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Johnson's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Johnson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
A big left from Wilber misses.
Wilber finds Johnson's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Johnson flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Wilber lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Johnson will be OK.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Sam Wilber!
In defeat, Dwayne Johnson stepped up to the mic, saying 'He is really good, and I underperformed. We were confident coming in and he showed that he knows his stuff.'.

and Kent counters with a good, hard body kick but Wilber shrugs it off.
Clark Kent seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Wilber scores with a counter punch that sends Kent to the canvas! Wilber smells blood - he's punishing Kent with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Kent has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Apex misses with a takedown attempt - Wilber sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Nice defenses there by Apex.
Apex drops down looking for a counter takedown but Wilber sprawls and moves away.
Apex glances at the clock... BAM! Wilber nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Apex crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Apex is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
