and Balgav counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Gill thinking.
Gill changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Balgav tries to avoid it but Gill manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Balgav to the ground. Balgav escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Balgav throws a counter combo.
Gill looks for the body kick but Balgav saw that one coming.
Balgav lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Gill swings and misses with a shot to the body#KD2#
and Balgav counters with a crisp one two that drops Gill! Balgav thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Gill to his feet! Gill is in big trouble!
Gill is breathing heavily.
Gill fails with the takedown
and Balgav scores with a counter punch that sends Gill to the canvas! Balgav smells blood - he's punishing Gill with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Gill has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Gill sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Gill will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pedersoli lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Gill head around and knocks him out cold! Pedersoli hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.

Gill fails in his attempt to clinch.
No joy there for Gill, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Gill walks straight into a right hand from Arkinson - that's dropped him! Arkinson jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Gill from any more punishment! Gill complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

As Mark Arkinson got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: King Kong Donged 🦍 🦍 🦍 🦍 🦍KING OF THE FUCKIN JUNGLE BABY!!! Put some respect on the big men. I AM DAT MAN I AM THE BADDEST MOTHERFUCKER ALIVE!!! '.

Silva lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Silva creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Gill with a big uppercut! Gill tries to clinch up but Silva pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Gill to the mat! Gill covers up and Silva unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gill throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Mspomfad tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Gill is in Mspomfad's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Gill looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Mspomfad has control of Gill's left arm, preventing Gill from doing any damage.
Gill trying to control the position from guard on top but Mspomfad is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Mspomfad postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Gill on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Gill doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Benyam feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Gill sprawling to the canvas! Gill rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Benyam finish him?! #ROC2#Gill is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Benyam sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Gill's defenses. It connects perfectly with Gill's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!

Gill closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Joe's guard.

Gill content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Joe has locked up a guillotine! Joe's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Gill is holding on here and Joe must be using up a lot of energy. Gill has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Joe gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
