Spooner thows a left - swing and a miss!
Spooner has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Laurez finds it's way round the side to connect with Spooner's head.
Spooner swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Laurez feints a jab promting Spooner to slip. Laurez then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Spooner slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.#CUT2#It looks like Junior Spooner has been cut.
Laurez connects with a jab.
A chopping leg kick lands by Laurez .
Laurez scores with a jab to the body.
Laurez with a nice cross.
Crunch! Laurez slams his shin into Spooner's torso.
Laurez fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Laurez throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Spooner on the side of the head.

Spooner takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Spooner takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Both fighters circling a little - Laurez finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Laurez tests Spooner's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Laurez lands the left hand.
Laurez fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Spooner jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Laurez throws out a counter right but Spooner avoids it with no problem.
Spooner steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Laurez . That one must have hurt.
Laurez shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Spooner eats them both and turns towards Laurez to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Laurez is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Spooner had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.#T3#
Laurez thows a body kick. Spooner tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Teofomo Laurez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Laurez tries to close the distance and clinch but Spooner swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Spooner has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Laurez .
Spooner cracks Laurez with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Laurez lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Laurez on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Spooner misses with a hook. Laurez ducked under it nicely.
Laurez swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Spooner.
Laurez drops Spooner with a huge uppercut! Spooner drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Laurez is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!

Spooner throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Russo.
Russo scores with a jab to the body.
Russo definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Spooner lands a slapping body shot.
Spooner takes a swing at Russo's ribcage but misses.
Russo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Spooner but Spooner pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Spooner scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Spooner connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
A looping hook to the body misses from Spooner. Russo does a little dance to reset his feet.
Russo gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Russo shoots in for a double leg but Spooner sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kenji Takahashi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Spooner looks to throw the jab but Takahashi is out of range.
Spooner loads up on a big right hand but Takahashi slips the punch.
Takahashi with the counter takedown but Spooner avoids it easily.

Takahashi drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Takahashi stands up over Spooner, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Takahashi chips away with some ground and pound.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Takahashi's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Takahashi prevents Spooner from getting back to his feet.
Spooner can't keep his opponent in guard - Takahashi advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Takahashi takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Takahashi looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Spooner with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Takahashi lands a nice short elbow.

and Dahlgren counters with a nice uppercut.
Spooner throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Nice defenses there by Dahlgren.
Spooner has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Dahlgren lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Spooner at a distance.
Dahlgren moves out of range as Spooner strikes.
Junior Spooner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Dahlgren counters with a crisp one two that drops Spooner! Dahlgren thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Spooner to his feet! Spooner is in big trouble!#ROC#Spooner is rocked!

Spooner connects with a nice looking jab.
Warren looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Warren takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Good exchange - Spooner coming out on top.
Warren gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Spooner gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Zakrov throws a combination that misses
and Spooner counters with a nice uppercut.
No joy there for Spooner, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Zakrov misses with a takedown attempt
and Spooner counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Zakrov gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Spooner counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Spooner jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Zakrov doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Spooner counters with a straight right hand.
Junior Spooner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fyodor Zakrov.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Spooner lands a left and a right that send Zakrov crashing to the mat, dazed. Spooner thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!#ROC#Zakrov is rocked!

Spooner steps in with a hook that catches Zakrov right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Spooner follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Zakrov looks absolutely devastated.

Suraman has hold of Spooner's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Spooner tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Suraman cranks the arm and Spooner screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Spooner, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
