Usamov is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. #REVB#

Cazi is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Usamov has latched onto it... Big trouble! Usamov pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Cazi is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Usamov!

Usamov closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee asks Usamov politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Usamov prefers to stall for the moment though.
Slice bucks up and tries to throw Usamov off but instead Usamov has got his back!
Usamov punishes Slice with strikes from the back mount.
Slice is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SUB2#
Slice tries to get to his feet, scrambling wildly. Usamov sees the opportunity and transitions to an armbar that forces Slice to tap. Impressive finish!

A punch lands to the side of Usamov 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Usamov looks for a takedown but Bangveana sprawls well.
Usamov misses with a kick to the body.
Bangveana avoids the head kick by Usamov.
Bangveana fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Usamov on the side of the head.#ROC2#Usamov is rocked!
and Bangveana counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Usamov! He's just covering up as Bangveana starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bang Bangveana!
In his post fight interview, Bang Bangveana started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception. |

Jaimes throws a good cross that connects.
Jaimes paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Usamov tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Usamov takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Jaimes lands a nice shot to the body.
Jaimes scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Usamov has a takedown stuffed.
Jaimes lands a slapping body shot.
A combination from Jaimes does no damage.
And Usamov tries to counter it with a takedown but Jaimes pushes his down on his head and steps out.

and Jaimes counters with a stiff jab, followed by a cross and an uppercut! That's too much punishment for Usamov to take - he tumbles to the canvas, blood pouring from his nose, barely conscious. That's the end of the fight! Great knockout by Jaimes!

Usamov wants to clinch
and Jaimes connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Jaimes fails to land with a series of punches.
Usamov slips a straight right by Jaimes.
Usamov shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Jaimes counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Usamov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jaimes's waist but Jaimes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Usamov off to one side.
Jaimes throws a hook but Usamov avoids it easily.
Usamov was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

OH! Usamov has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Jaimes smells blood and charges in for the finish! Jaimes unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Usamov sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!

Usamov feints and as Bumedov raises his hands in defense, Usamov changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Usamov prevents Bumedov from getting back to his feet.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Usamov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Matveychuk thows an elbow strike that misses. Usamov gets hold of full guard and has managed to get a loose guillotine attempt. Matveychuk doesn't seem too bothered but Usamov quickly shifts his position and has tightened the hold! Matveychuk is in big trouble now - he's going a funny colour - he's tapping out! Nice finish there! Matveychuk really should have spotted the danger earlier though... either incompetence or over-confidence has resulted in a big L on his record.
